Good day friends, I am back after a long time (4-5 days without blog is long nowJ) with my final post related to Walking. I have been able to finally complete 30 days of walking 8000+ steps goal in around 45+days. For me this is quiet satisfying.
In fact this 8000+ steps of walking has actually made me ready for my next goal which is Run 5 KM Daily. I have kicked off this 5 KM Daily run from yesterday 26th December 2016(will share this experience separately). Target is to run for 1000+ KM’s till next Christmas.
Walking actually has brought lot of changes in me and for better. It is those observations and thoughts while walking, which I have actionized and tried to make them part of my life. In this last month of December I have done two things different mentioned below. All thanks to walking that these thoughts were triggered.
Healthy Eating and No Sugar
I have been mentioning a lot about no sugar for 30 days or no tea for 30 days in my previous blogs, finally I have started following it. Today its 7th day without refined sugar and tea. Believe me I am feeling very light. Without doing anything a simple change in eating habits makes a lot of difference.
Immediately I am feeling less bloated. Secondly for the last 3 days or so I am having salad in lunch and dinner of boiled vegetables. Trust me it is just awesome, feels so light and filling. One of my friend mentioned about Vegetable steamer also which I am planning to buy soon. Till that time boiled vegetables rocks.
Becoming the Santa for the Needy
As mentioned in my previous blog related to Christmas we have decided to be the Santa for the needy. I am writing about it here with a hope more people will get motivated to do the same or more. What we have done is the bare minimum.
So yesterday we decided to distribute 5 sweaters as its winter, 20+ samosas and home cooked wheat based Halwa. We drove around the city and decided to help the needy. The sense of satisfaction and pure happiness which was visible on our faces after we were done distributing cannot be expressed here in words.
I still remember the smile of an old woman face to whom we gave this, it’s just awesome. We have decided now to celebrate all such occasions like birthdays, festivals etc. with the needy.
So finally winding up these 30 days of Walking, has actually resulted in so many good things I cannot simply express. Finally mission is accomplished and next target of 1000+ km running started.
